A Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) is a knowledgeable, skilled and professional independent midwifery practitioner who has met the standards for certification set by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) and is qualified to provide home-based midwifery care. The CPM is the only international credential that requires knowledge about and experience in out-of-hospital settings. A CPM follows the Midwives Model of Care™ which is based on the fact that pregnancy and birth are normal life processes. *Please read about my Experience and Education |

MIDWIVES MODEL OF CARE™ ∞ Monitoring the physical, psychological and social well-being of the mother throughout the childbearing cycle ∞ Providing the mother with individualized education, counseling, and prenatal care, continuous hands-on assistance during labor and delivery, and postpartum support ∞ Minimizing technological interventions ∞ Identifying and referring women who require obstetrical attention. |
YOUR EXPERIENCE I provide healthy women a compassionate and holistic approach to all aspects of their childbearing cycle including: prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care. Under my care you will experience sensitive, confidential, and professional midwifery care. Additionally, I have established collaborative relationships with board-certified OBGYNs to help provide continuity should a referral or transfer of care become necessary.

MIDWIFERY SERVICES My style of care invites and encourages family involvement and participation during pregnancy and beyond. My goal is not only to provide quality physical evaluation but to also support emotional and spiritual well -being. I strive to develop a deep and trusting relationship with each of my clients. There are many advantages to midwifery care — these include: ∞ Commitment to the normal birthing process through education and naturally supported intervention ∞ A personal touch throughout pregnancy in order to assist delivery with skilled and familiar hands ∞ Low hospital transfer and episiotomy rates ∞ Patient education is a high priority in all aspects of your care. |
MIDWIFERY FEES Midwifery fees cover 24/7 on call time from the time you are in my client until the end of the postpartum period, as well as prenatal care, the labor and birth, and six-weeks of postpartum care for mother and baby (this includes the services of a back-up midwife, and an assistant) the base cost for these services is $3000. I accept private insurance and Medicaid. For those clients paying out of packet I understand this fee may be prohibitive, for this reason and because I truly believe that the midwifery model of care is the BEST care a family can receive I am willing to barter as well as offer a sliding scale.
Some other fees that you may incur include: Lab work* $40 Birth kit Prenatal and postpartum herbal support $55 Newborn Metabolic Screen* RhoGam for Rh negative mothers* Additionally, I commonly suggest herbs and herbal tinctures, food-based prenatal vitamins and supplements, “green drinks” and protein powder in response to situations that may come up during the pregnancy. * may be covered through insurance |
